The N rings in the New Year with Amanda Bynes as it premieres What I Like About You on Jan. 1!

The N rings in 2009 and welcomes home former Nickelodeon star Amanda Bynes with the premiere of her hit teen sitcom What I Like About You on New Year’s Day. The N has acquired the entire 86-episode collection (four seasons) of the series from Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution. Set in New York City, the half-hour comedy follows the life of livewire teen Holly (Amanda Bynes) who shares an apartment with her older sister Val (90210’s, Jennie Garth). The series kicks off with a 24-hour marathon on Thursday, Jan. 1, beginning at 12:00 p.m. (ET).

“Amanda Bynes is a true star to The N’s teen audience and we are thrilled to have her back in the Nickelodeon family,” said Sarah Tomassi Lindman, Senior Vice President and General Manager, The N. “Our viewers who already adore Amanda from her Nickelodeon series The Amanda Show will now get an updated version of the loveable klutz on What I Like About You.”

Beginning Friday, Jan. 2, through Sunday, Jan. 11, The N will run a marathon of What I Like About You every evening from 8:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. (ET). On Monday, Jan. 12, the series will move to its regular time slot, weeknights from 10:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. (ET).

About the show:
When her widowed father moves to Japan, Holly (Amanda Bynes) is forced to move in with her straight-laced older sister Valerie (Jennie Garth), who’s a promising public relations executive trying to find her way in Manhattan. It’s not long before Holly’s antics turn Valerie’s regimented life upside down. Although Holly misses her father, she idolizes her big sister, and it’s a good thing that they love each other, or they’d drive each other crazy. The series also stars Wesley Jonathan (Gary), Leslie Grossman (Lauren), Allison Munn (Tina), Nick Zano (Vince), Simon Rex (Jeff) and Stephen Dunham (Peter). What I Like About You was created by Wil Calhoun (Friends) and Dan Schneider (The Amanda Show). Calhoun and Schneider executive produce, along with Brian Robbins, Mike Tollin and Joe Davola (all three from Smallville), and Caryn Lucas (The Nanny).
