Concert Review: Power 105.1’s Powerhouse 2013 at Barclays Center

On Saturday night, Brooklyn’s Barclays Center
was packed with fans attending Power 105.1’s star-studded Powerhouse
concert. The shows line-up included the best in Hip-Hop and R&B like
Kendrick Lamar, 2 Chainz, Fabolous, ScHoolboy Q, ASAP Mob, Meek Mill, Big Sean, Trey Songz and K Michelle.

For fans who arrived early, they were treated to watching
singer-songwriter Sevyn Streeter perform her hit ”I Like It” and her
new single ”I Won’t Stop.”

The show officially kicked off with
GOOD music rapper Big Sean. He performed hits ”Dance (A$$),” ”Mula”
and ”Marvin and Chardonnay” on a light filled stage. He went on
performing ”Beware,” ”Clique” and closing his energetic set with
”All Me.”

Next was singer and “Love & Hip Hop” star K.
Michelle. She hit the stage with stories to tell and messages to give. K
Michelle performed ”My Life” and ”Can’t Raise a Man” before she
closed her soulful set with her hit ”V.S.O.P.”

MMG rapper Meek
Mill took the stage with ”Intro (Dreams And Nightmares)” and ”House
Party.” He also performed hits like ”Believe It” and ”I’m a Boss.”
Meek brought out Gourdan & Jadakiss for the performance of ”Heaven
or Hell” before getting the entire venue lit up by cell phones for
”Lil’ Ni**a Snupe,” a tribute to Lil Snupe. He brought out Nicki Minaj
for ”Dope Dealer” and then Nicki did a melody of her hits like ”I
Wanna Be With You,” ”Tapout” and ”Love More.” Meek Mill closed his
set with the hit ”Levels.”

Harlem rapper ASAP Rocky took stage
performing his hit ”F*ckin Problem.” He then brought out his crew the
ASAP Mob to takeover the stage performing ”Work” and ”Shabba.”

Brooklyn
rapper Fabolous hit the stage performing ”Brooklyn.” He went on to
perform hits ”Body Ya” and ”When I Feel Like It.” Fabolous brought
out Meek Mill for ”Racked Up Shawty” and Nicki Minaj joined them for
”I be on that.” He had the crowd rapping along with older hits like
”Breathe” and ”You Be Kill’em” and closed with ”Ready.”

Up
next was rapper 2 Chainz taking the stage with ”Crack.” He performed
”I Luv Them Strippers,” ”Where You Been” and ”Feds Watching.” 2
Chainz kept the crowd hype with hits like ”Birthday Song” and ”I’m
Different” before closing with ”No Lie.”

Singer Trey Songz took
the stage with ”Say Aah” and brought out featured rapper on the track
Fabolous. He then slowed things down to perform ”I Invented Sex,”
”Panty Droppa” and ”Dive In.” He belted out ”Neighbors Know My
Name” before losing his shirt for ”I Luv This Sh*t.” He continued to
make all the women scream finishing his set shirtless while performing
”2 Reasons” and ”Bottoms Up.”

ScHoolboy Q performed ”Hands On The Wheel” and ”Collard Greens”
before letting Kendrick Lamar close the show.

Lastly Kendrick
Lamar took the stage with ”Backseat Freestyle.” He followed up with
hits ”Swimming Pool (Drank),” ”Money Trees,” and ”Don’t Kill My
Vibe.” He kept the crowd rockin’ with ”Poetic Justice” before
allowing Brooklyn’s own Queen Bee Lil Kim take the stage. She performed
”Get Money” and ”It’s All About The Benjamins.” Kendrick closed his
set with ”m.A.A.d City.”

Power 105.1’s Powerhouse was a non-stop
party without a dull moment. Even if an artist wasn’t on stage at the
moment, the Power 105.1 DJ’s played music to keep the crowds energy up.
With an lineup full of Hip-Hop and R&B heavyweights plus artist
surprises galore, Power 105.1’s Powerhouse was an electrifying knockout
