Eminem is set to take the stage at
the 2009 MTV MOVIE AWARDS.
Eminem’s performance comes days after the release of his anticipated album Relapse, available May 19. Eminem’s “We Made You” debuted on MTV.com on April 7, 2009, and currently stands as the biggest music video debut of all time on the site, with more than 758K streams in its first 24 hours, breaking the previous record by 15%.
Hosted by Andy Samberg, the eighteenth annual MTV MOVIE AWARDS will air on Sunday, May 31st at 9PM (Live ET/Tape Delayed PT.)
Presenters and additional performers will be announced at a later date.
For the first time in Movie Awards history, MTV is letting the fans participate in the nominee process. Beginning Monday, April 13, voting will open and viewers will be able to select the 2009 MTV MOVIE AWARDS nominees from an eligibility list of over 200 movies on movieawards.mtv.com. MTV Mobile will also enable viewers on the go to text VOTE to 66333 to vote for nominees in the Best Movie category from their mobile phone. Voting for this round will close on April 20.
On May 4, the 2009 MTV MOVIE AWARDS nominees will officially be announced. Viewers will also have the opportunity to vote on the winners online and on their mobile phones. This second round of voting will close on May 18, with the exception of Best Movie which will remain open through the show.

Spongebob vs. The Big One is a DVD packed with a DVD Premiere and six of your favorite Spongebob episodes.
The DVD premiere episode is called “Spongebob Squarepants vs. The Big One.” In the episode, Spongebob and his friends get swept out to sea by a giant wave. They find themselves on a remote island. In order to get off of this island, they must learn to surf. With the help of Jack Kahuna Laguna aka JKL (voiced by Johnny Depp,) will Spongebob and his pals learn how to surf and make it back to Bikini Bottom?

“A Life in a Day”
Larry the Lobster is this show-off lobster. He criticizes SpongeBob and Patrick so much that they want to be exactly like him. But, of course, SpongeBob and Patrick mess up and the day becomes very painful.
“Sun Bleached”
SpongeBob and Patrick are not allowed to go to a party at the Goo Lagoon, because they aren’t tan enough. So, they decide to get tan, but problems occur when SpongeBob is in the tan machine too long.
“Giant Squidward”
Squidward, SpongeBob’s easily annoyed neighbor and co-worker, has kelp garden spray. The problem is that everything it touches becomes huge.
“No Nose Knows”
Patrick, a starfish, gets nose surgery. But when he gets his dream nose, he learns about smelly things.
“Patty Caper”
SpongeBob works at the Krusty Krab. There, they make Krabby Patties. The patties have a special top-secret formula. And while SpongeBob is watching it, the formula goes missing. Who stole it? Plankton? Sandy? Squidward?
“Plankton’s Regular”
Plankton — who owns the rival food place — has his first regular customer. Mr. Krabs, Spongebob’s boss at the Krusty Krab, wants him eating Krabby Patties.
“Spongebob vs. The Big One” is solid DVD. My favorite episodes on the DVD would have to be the premiere “Spongebob Squarepants vs. The Big One” ( JKL is such a cool character,) “A Life in a Day”, “Patty Caper” (I liked the mystery) and “Plankton’s Regular” (I love the Plankton and Mr. Krab feud and to see Plankton come out the victor, at least for a little while, was great.)
Along with the seven episodes are two cool special features: a music video “Ridin’ the Hook” and Plankton’s Special Sinister Commentary (make sure you check this out.) This DVD is a must have for any Spongebob fan.
Children’s book on Sandy Koufax
is a grand slam read
for baseball fans of ALL ages!
“You Never Heard of Sandy Koufax?” is a picture book biography about the greatest left-handed pitcher of all time. This book takes you through Koufax’s early life and his years with the Dodgers (the good and bad years), eventually moving onto his peak years and early retirement.
“You Never Heard of Sandy Koufax?” delivers a good overview of Koufax’s incredible story. It is chock-full of baseball statistics, which are all nicely placed along the sides of the book. Andre Carrilho’s art was perfect. Though simple in design and color scheme, it leaves an impact. I think the reflective cover is cool and very eye-catching. “You Never Heard of Sandy Koufax?” is perfect for parents and grandparents to share with their young baseball fans.
Please Note: Due to all the statistics, children 4-8 (which the book is geared towards) would benefit from the book being read to them.
Nickelodeon, the number-one entertainment brand for kids, has paired the legendary actor Johnny Depp with the legendary SpongeBob in the first of several special on-air events this year in celebration of SpongeBob’s 10th anniversary.
SpongeBob SquarePants’ “SpongeBob vs. the Big One,” an all-new half-hour television special, will premiere Friday, April 17, from 8:00 to 8:30 p.m. (ET/PT). The special follows a stranded SpongeBob and his friends as they search for Jack Kahuna Laguna (voiced by Depp) to teach them the gnarly surf moves to hit the elusive wave, The Big One, in order to return to Bikini Bottom. The special also will air on Nicktoons Network, where it will encore Sunday, April 19, at 10 p.m. ET.
“We’re excited to have Johnny Depp guest star on the SpongeBob TV special that kicks off the series’ 10th anniversary celebration,” said Brown Johnson, President, Animation, Nickelodeon and MTVN Kids and Family Group. “This is a big year for our porous pal, and some of the biggest celebrities are helping us honor him in a special way throughout the year.”
While trying to sell Krabby Patties to hungry surfers in the waters of Goo Lagoon, SpongeBob (Tom Kenny), Patrick (Bill Fagerbakke), Squidward (Rodger Bumpass) and Mr. Krabs (Clancy Brown) are swept away by a giant wave. Mr. Krabs is carried to the haunted waters of Dutchman’s Triangle, and the other three find themselves stranded on a remote tropical island. In order to escape, they must find surf guru Jack Kahuna Laguna. JKL, as he is known, informs them that the only way back to Bikini Bottom is to surf the legendary wave called The Big One, which will arrive in just a matter of days. SpongeBob and the gang must absorb JKL’s lessons in order to shred the surf to avoid wiping out on the ride of their lives.
SpongeBob.com, the new vertical fan site, is the ultimate online destination for fans of all ages around the world to soak up all things SpongeBob. In addition to streaming an Instant Replay of SpongeBob vs. The Big One post premiere, the site will launch SpongeBob vs. The Big One Game of the Week and Gnarly Rip Curl, a new mini-game also based on the special, on Monday, April 13. Additionally, users will be able to unlock three “surfing shorts” immediately following the premiere by getting a code on-air and entering it on the site.

Synopsis:

The high-octane muscle cars featured in Universal Pictures’ upcoming action-thriller “Fast & Furious” are on display exclusively at Universal Studios Hollywood as The Entertainment Capital of L.A. adds the exotic street racers to its world-renowned collection of authentic movie picture cars and props.
The 1987 Buick Grand National and a 2009 Subaru WRX STI that are driven by the stars Vin Diesel and Paul Walker are parked inside the theme park within arm’s reach of fans and car aficionados.

Ashley Tisdale, singer and actress known to millions as the star of the blockbuster High School Musical series, will release her second album for Warner Bros. Records, entitled Guilty Pleasure on June 16, 2009.
With an edgy, guitar-driven pop-rock sound, Guilty Pleasure is a creative and mature leap forward for this appealing young singer and songwriter, who launched a career as a solo artist with her gold-certified Top 5 rhythmic-pop debut Headstrong in 2007. “Headstrong was a big learning experience, as it was my first album,” Tisdale says. “This time I went in knowing exactly what I wanted to do and the message I wanted to put out there, which is that I’m 23 and I’m not just the cute, bubbly blonde girl you know from Disney. I have a tougher side and I love rock music, which are things people probably don’t know about me. On each album you get to share with the world who you are as a person, and I wanted my fans to see another side to me. This album really reflects who I am at this point in my life.”
Guilty Pleasure is indeed an authentic reflection of a girl growing up and speaking her mind on songs like the first single “It’s Alright, It’s OK” — a spunky break-up anthem about being single and in control of your life for the first time. “I love break-up songs,” Tisdale admits. “On this album, I put to rest a lot of baggage from a previous relationship by venting about the frustration. Everyone can relate to those moments. That song is about how you need to stand up for yourself and not let someone walk all over you; it’s a message I wanted to get across to other girls.”
Working with a host of top-flight producers and songwriters, such as Kara DioGuardi (Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood), Toby Gad (Beyoncé, Fergie), Billy Steinberg (Madonna), Emanuel Kiriakou (David Archuleta, Nick Lachey), and Swedish production team Twin (who co-wrote the Headstrong singles “Not Like That” and “Be Good To Me”), Tisdale co-wrote several tracks on Guilty Pleasure, including the feisty “Acting Out,” whose lyrics could serve as the album’s mission statement: “Let me out of this cage / I’m not gonna hold back / I’m gonna break these chains / I’m taking control now / Gonna give you something to talk about / It’s another side of me I’m acting out.” She also co- wrote the propulsive “Overrated,” about not changing your personality for a guy, and two ballads “What If” and “Me Without You.” Another album highlight is the slinky, confident “Masquerade,” perhaps the most sophisticated song Tisdale has recorded to date.
“I’m growing up and this is music I would listen to,” Tisdale says. “On this record, I’m not catering to anyone other than to who I am as a person. I think all of these songs have a message and a story that anyone can relate to. I couldn’t sing them if I didn’t connect with them myself.”
Guilty Pleasure’s first single, “It’s Alright, It’s OK,” ships to Top 40 radio on April 14 — the same day it will be available for purchase via digital retailers.

Later Jim finds himself having to make the decision of his life by either taking his elder’s wise advice or returning to his street ways and risk losing it all. The Penguins of Madagascar Premieres Saturday, March 28 at 9:30 p.m. Following Nickelodeon’s 22nd Annual Kids’ Choice Awards!
About The Show:
The series features the all-new adventures of Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private, four penguins who take command at their Central Park Zoo home. While the brothers have their flippers full keeping their multi-species zoo neighborhood happy, at times their secret missions beckon them to venture out to New York City’s busy subways and sewer systems. Just as the team thinks it has its urban acreage under control, a new neighbor moves in next door: Julien, a party animal and self-proclaimed “King of the Lemurs,” with an entourage and overactive ego. Throughout the season, new animals will be introduced as well as old friends from the “Madagascar” theatrical films.
In the premiere episode, “Launchtime” (airing March 28) finds the penguins vacationing on the Moon after being completely frustrated by their pushy, loud and obnoxious lemur neighbors. As they arrive by homemade rocket, they meet a “moon cat” who has strange plans for Skipper and the penguins. Also in this episode, “Haunted Habitat” introduces viewers to Marlene, the otter, who is awakened by a spooky noise. She and Skipper then travel down to the sewer below the zoo and confront the mysterious “monster” to stop its creepy howling for good.
The network will then feature two weeks of primetime premieres weeknights at 8:00 – 8:30 PM (ET/PT) from Monday, March 30, through Friday, April 10. Andy Richter (Late Night with Conan O’ Brien) and Tom McGrath (co-created the penguins characters and directed both Madagascar films) reprise their roles as Mort and Skipper from the feature films, and Nicole Sullivan(MadTV) rounds out the ensemble voice-over cast.
In support of the launch, TurboNick, the network’s broadband player, will stream Instant Replays of episodes post premiere, as well as short form content. Nick.com will also roll out The Penguins of Madagascar-themed mini site (Nick.com/penguins) that will feature a personality quiz, e-cards, downloads, printables and messages boards. For three weeks prior to the premiere of The Penguins of Madagascar the mini site will launch a new mini-game each week.
